CLiPS stands for Creative Learning in Practical Science. It’s a powerful and innovative approach to Science learning, co-developed with Bristol University Graduate School of Education.
We offer a range of CLiPS workshops for students aged 11-19, in which students and teachers learn:
- how to use digital video to communicate scientific ideas
- simple tips to improve the quality of your films: storyboarding, framing, ‘available light’, and sound
- how to make broadcast quality films with an iPhone
- how to get the most out of your school’s media equipment
The national curriculum for Science stresses the importance of using digital media as an alternative to text-based approaches. Not only that, the skills learned are of ever-increasing value to employers.
