Continuing Professional Development
The methods Science.tv have developed can be applied to a range of subjects. Our aim is to embed new skills that can be used across the whole school.
Manipulation of digital media is already an essential part of employment in the knowledge economy and, with video becoming ever more ubiquitous, skills such as editing and presenting to camera will increase in importance.
Our CPD programmes train teachers of any subject:
- How to make films about anything
- How to get the most out of your school’s equipment
- How to get techies and luddites working together as a team
- The skills you really need - and the ones you needn’t bother with
Why?
A little bit of knowledge about digital media can go a long way. Many of your students will already have expertise in ICT. All you need are enough skills to enable the learning to occur.
By training a group of teachers within a school, the benefits are multiplied. You’ll get a ‘digital workflow’ established in the school so that you don’t work in isolation.
