Make Your Own Wildlife Film
Make Your Own Wildlife Film
We can’t fly you to the Serengeti, but we can show how you to make a high quality wildlife film.
This popular workshop takes you through the entire production process:
- Research - choose a species and find out its story
- Planning - the who, what, where and how of film making
- Filming - how to film pieces-to-camera and interviews
- Post-production - how to edit like the professionals
Why?
Wildlife films are a fantastic way to learn about the Natural World, as any David Attenborough series of the past half century demonstrates. This workshop brings the idea up-to-date by letting the students add their own angle to beautifully-shot, unedited archive material of fascinating species from around the World.
Curriculum
The workshop fits particularly well with:
- Key Stage 3 Science - How Science Works
- BTEC Science
- Key Stage 4 Science - 21st Century Science
- BTEC Media Practice
